Trolleys and cradles
STS offer the safest, most versatile drum handling trolleys and cradles for lifting and moving drums, barrels and cylinders. All equipment is compliant with the latest Manual Handling Regulations, and if required, the ATEX regulations for Zoned explosive areas.
The patented stainless steel DTC01 Drum Trolley was recognized as a major design development in the reduction of industrial back injury from Manual Handling and STS won the Tomorrow’s World Inventors of the Year award in 2000, followed soon after by the Product Innovation Award at the SafetyExpo 2001.
Suitable for drum and barrel handling from 50 litres (10 gallon) to 200 litres (45 gallon) the drum trolly is now the industry standard for any company wishing to fulfill its duty of care towards its employees.
The Dispensing Cradle and Rollover Cradle allow operators to rotate 200 litre / 45 gallon drums and barrels into the horizontal with a safe and easy manoeuvre to allow dispensing or picking off into racking.
STS have answered requests for a similarly effective Cylinder Trolley with their CTS01, which has been well received in medical and university laboratories, where safe handling of gas and high pressure cylinders is desired.
De-Palletisers
STS offer a whole range of high quality, versatile equipment for moving all types and sizes of drums and barrels on and off pallets and containment spill bunds, whilst keeping the operator safe.
Companies may comply with the Environmental Regulations and then fall foul of Manual Handling requirements when they try to get the drums off with old-fashioned drum movers which require huge operator input loads and leverage to edge the drum off the pallet.
The STS range of De-palletisers offer alternatives to suit every workplace need, whether it needs access to the whole pallet from one side or whether it needs to be narrow or Counterbalanced to avoid legs in front of the drum.
The unique DTP04 Side-shift De-palletiser will access the whole area of the pallet from one side and is suitable for depalletising drums and barrels of all types and sizes, from 50 litre plastics, to 110 litre mousers to 200 litre cardboard fibre drums.
If drums or barrels are out of the ordinary we can request samples and offer alternative catches or a boom attachment to enable these to be made to enable the STS depalletiser to fit.
Drum Rotators & Drum Tippers

The DRU01 Universal Drum Rotator offers drum tipping and decanting from the front of the unit, whilst the DRU04 unit offers Side-Tipping for confined narrow areas.
