Roll Handling Unit
This unit is shown clamping a 1300mm diameter roll that weighs 60kg.
The clamp is operated by a pendant control so the operator can ensure accurate placement of the roll. The clamp pressure can be adjusted to suit the roll material; once the clamp pressure is set it will always be constant for every roll. The clamp mechanism has a mechanical brake fitted so the arms will not open even if the batteries of the unit are disconnected.
The rotation of the roll is controlled manually by the gearbox handle on the side of the unit.
The unit is available in full stainless steel and in battery, pneumatic or manual power options.
