Customer requirements
We designed and manufactured this fully customised stainless-steel drum dumper for a pharmaceutical area producing soft-gel capsules for the nutritional supplement market.
Key requirements:
- must handle 50 to 220 litre HDPE (plastic) drums;
- lift height of 2300mm required;
- 304-grade stainless steel construction;
- must be suitable for use in a GMP cleanroom area;
- extra reach required to dump drums into the process vessel.
Long reach and telescopic lift
Our design team adapted an existing head assembly to allow for the required long reach; the unit was also fitted with dual-mast telescopic lifting channels. This unit can dump drums at a height of 2100mm with the centre of the drum being 690mm ahead of the unit's front wheels during decanting; the safe working load of the unit was 350kg.

Pendent Controller
The unit was fitted with an electric pendant controller to allow operators to remotely dump drums from a safe viewing/control position. As standard, our power rotate drum dumpers are supplied with the controls mounted on the rear panel however we can customise units to include head controls and pendents if necessary.
