Our Process

Here at STS we bend over backwards so you don’t have to. Whether you’re interested in an off-the-shelf item or a bespoke solution, we’re here to help.

Developing the solution

If you need a custom unit for a particular problem, we design bespoke solutions. After liaising with you to find out exactly what you need, our product team will put together a detailed specification, which is passed on to our design team.

Qualified STS engineers draw up the best solution for you, incorporating British engineering values. We then review our designs through a multi-tier checking regime before beginning manufacture.

Our designers produce all engineering drawings using SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD software, and we carry out state-of-the-art finite element analysis (FEA) to test critical high-load components.

Manufacturing premium products

Our technical welders are coded to UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) standards; they produce highly accurate fabrications, which are inspected by third parties on a regular basis.

In the assembly team, we have a mixture of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic engineers as well as certified electricians.

We hand-build all our manual handling equipment here in the United Kingdom using only the best component parts available. By sourcing our parts mainly from the UK and EU marketplaces, we can ensure conformity and longevity.

In-depth product testing

We test our units with static and dynamic loads to industry standards. When it comes to durability, STS products are the strongest on the market, ensuring survivability in harsh work environments. We make our drum handling equipment to last you decades, not just years, so you can rely on them well into the future.

Supporting you every step

Once we deliver a product the journey doesn’t end there. We have a team of technical personnel that is always on standby to give you any support you may need.
