Barrel Lifter with Extended Reach

The Counterbalance Barrel Lifter is a popular product for use in narrow walkways and tight workspaces. The design of this unit means that it has no front-facing legs which enable it to easily lift on and off shelves or into cabinets. 

Upon request, we have adapted our stainless-steel ladder rack to provide operators with extra reach when lifting drums from cabinets. This extended ladder rack can be fitted to our Side Shift Barrel Lifter (DTP04) or our Counterbalance Barrel Lifter (DTP08) if needed.

Companies whose factories include bunds, cabinets or concrete plinths can experience difficulty lifting drums from these areas. We have designed this barrel lifter with an extended catch arrangement to accommodate extra forward reach. The extension provides 220mm of reach ahead of the unit to allow drums to be placed in the correct position.

The ladder rack is fabricated from 304-grade stainless steel and is attached to the front of the lifter body. Operators simply approach their drum with the barrel lifter, the catch engages with the drum and they can then lift the drum to height using the manual hand pump. The universal drum catch can be adjusted quickly and easily to accommodate a variety of different drum types. 

If a company requires a greater lift height for high platforms or custom containment bunds, we can adjust the height of the rack and lifter to allow for further clearance.
