Make light work of tipping and transporting heavy drums. Two power options are available: electric hydraulic which utilises on-board batteries, or a pneumatic-hydraulic model which can be certified for ATEX areas. Our drum rotators can be fitted with either our universal drum band or alternatively a power clamp and rotation head assembly; both heads can be configured to handle drums and barrels from 50 to 220 litres.

Power drive

Each power drive drum rotator model is designed, built and tested in our UK manufacturing facility. Our engineering team sources only the highest quality components ensuring each drum tipper is robust and requires minimal maintenance.


Electric - Comprised of a large battery bank and an electric motor this drive option is suitable for safe areas. An onboard battery charger is located within the control box, simply connect a mains power supply whenever the batteries are discharged to return the unit to a charged state.


Pneumatic - Operators connect an airline to the control box which powers a pneumatic-hydraulic circuit. The drive wheel is hydraulic powered similar to that of the lift function and can be certified for use in an ATEX / UKEX area. Control hoses are located inside the steering tiller offering precise drive control during manoeuvring.

Tiller controls

Our heavy duty drum tipper has a power drive system that can be controlled from the rear via a steerable tiller. When placing drums precision is important, the speed control is variable and is adjusted using the throttles on the tiller. An anti-trap switch protects operators during use and a built-in horn is fitted to warn personnel in the vicinity.

We can supply our drum tippers with a manual clamping band or powered clamping arms. The powered arms offer fast operation for busy time-critical processes. Banded head assemblies are reliable and can accommodate a wide range of drum sizes from 50 to 220 litres.

Self-locking gearbox

Manual rotation on the power drive drum tipper

Self-locking gearbox

The universal drum band is fitted with a self-locking gearbox suitable for handling drums of up to 350kg. The final ratio on this gearbox is 120:1, this ensures the drum is easy to rotate and remains under control whilst tipping. Should power clamp be chosen rotation is controlled by two hydraulic rams located inside the clamping arms.

Stainless-steel model

We can offer a stainless steel drum rotator suitable for clean rooms as well as good manufacturing practice (GMP) areas.

Powered drum clamp

Upgrade to a fully-powered head assembly which includes power clamp and rotation, increasing output and efficiency levels.

Powered drum rotation

For high-volume pouring applications we offer hydraulic power rotation. You can control drum tipping from either the rear panel or the front of the machine.

Telescopic/variable lift height

Single- and dual-mast models are available. Single mast units offer up to 1500mm of lift whereas telescopic units offer 2700mm.

Variable leg dimensions

We can modify leg dimensions to suit your existing equipment and infrastructure.

Fixed-size drum band

Our fixed over-centre drum band makes securing drums quick and easy. The fixed band is suitable for 200- to 220-litre steel and plastic drums.

Load-cell weighing system

With our load-cell system you can weigh drums while you handle them. A digital read-out provides real-time weight information ideal for batch production.

Very small drum insert

We have designed an insert that allows you to lift small containers up to 50 litres in size.
