Understanding the weights of drums and their contents is crucially important in many industries, whether it's for quality purposes or health and safety requirements. At STS, we've got you covered with our range of weigh-scale drum lifters, each accurate to +/- 0.1kg.


Each lifter incorporates a heavy-duty load cell positioned between the drum gripper and the chassis, ensuring accurate measurement of the drum and its contents. The display, situated at the rear of the unit offers convenient access to weighing features like zero and tare.

Vertical height adjustment

The height of drums can differ based on their volume and design. STS drum lifters use a fully adjustable catch and rack design that allows the drum gripper to be moved vertically up and down. The rack has adjustments every 50mm ensuring that the full lift stroke of the unit is made available to the operator. In a matter of seconds, you can move the catch down for shorter drums or up for taller drums.

Lifting drums on and off pallets can be tiring and potentially dangerous without the correct equipment. By using top-tier highly efficient hydraulic hand pumps on our drum lifters we make the process much safer and easier. 


The operation of the pump is user-friendly, with operators simply needing to pump the handle to elevate the load. Lowering drums to the ground or onto pallets is achieved by turning a lowering valve.


Each lift system is meticulously assembled by hand in our factory, guaranteeing clean, reliable, and durable hydraulic circuits. Our team of engineers tests and inspects every pump throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring zero defects.

Our DTP08-R500-LC-Ex is suitable for gas and dust classified spaces: Zone 1, 2, 21, and 22. The drum handler is meticulously manufactured to ensure electrical continuity and a path to the ground is consistently maintained. Each of our ATEX / UKEX units comes with a manufacturer’s Declaration of Conformity that lists the directives and relevant British and ISO Standards.
